Research Statement
The Internet of Things describes a vision in which everyday objects are equipped with computation and communication capabilities. This enables the devices to interact with each other and react to the user behaviour without direct user interaction. Therefore a high degree of interoperability between the devices is neede. This can be achieved through two different approaches, Service Oriented Architectures like DPWS or Resource Oriented Web Services using CoAP. My research aims on a synthesis out of these two communication models to achive a low energy footprint while maintaining a high interoperability.
